After a brief stop-off back home in Northern Ireland, the time has come for me to head back on the open road. The trip I am about to undertake has been in the planning for some time, but really still is very lacking in detail.
Anyway here are the basics. Myself and a friend, Mr. Joshua Carr, have bought one of these round the world tickets for students and have planned to head off for the next 4/5 months. We are going to be backpacking/volunteering/sightseeing/working in various places all over the world and we plan to visit some friends, vague contacts and couchsurfers along the way.
Here is the route, heading East and visiting some sweet spots along the way.
We plan to stop in Israel, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Australia, New Zealand and then home! By the time you read this we will have our bags packed and already be on the trail!
I am going to be blogging the whole way, to document the trip and also to share some of our experiences in strange parts of the world with folks at home.
