The Sun Makes Things Better

The sun finally came out and this place is glorious!

Things have settled a bit more and now there are less seminars and more moments of free time! Been throwing some frisbee, playing some basketball (very badly) and even got to swim in the lake. Shampooing up your hair and diving off a pier on a hot day is pretty special.

We have started training for our individual jobs and so I got a look at the radio setup. Also met my co-host Jessica who is cool, think we will be a good team.

I live in a portacabin on the edge of a forest with 11 other guys. It's about 15 mins walk from the main camp so it feels quite remote. The guys all seem pretty solid.

The food is also unreal. I will definitely not go hungry but just have to watch I don't come home with a large round belly.

One bad thing is that I am getting eaten alive by bugs, they must love the foreign blood!
